I have been so excited to share this Uptown Charlotte engagement session with you. Not only was it a KILLER session. I have had the pleasure of doing a lot of photos within the Kerns family. Joey is one of three brothers which I have know the majority of my life. I have also photographed a lot of his older brother Josh, wife Katti & little girl Blythe over the years. That being said this session is so close to home.
Joey & Raven met me at Blythe Landing for their first part of their session, the we traveled uptown to finish their session for sunset with the beautiful Charlotte skyline in the background. It was gorgeous. Their engagement session was the best of both worlds. The beautiful fall foliage, the lake & then the city as well.
Joey & Raven met in high school but didn’t realize until later that they didn’t want to do life without each other. Joey & Raven used to go to Megart (the best pottery place) & make tiles for all the places they visited together. LOVE THIS! Joey took all of those tiles & hung them up along a path at Latta Plantation. At the end of the path Joey left a blank tile & when Raven went to pick it up she turned around & Joey was on one knee. They spent their first year of being engaged deployed serving our country together & are back now starting to celebrate their love story.
I LOVE these! Where did you take the skyline photos?
