There’s something truly magical about the early morning light. As the sun slowly rises over the horizon, it bathes everything in a soft, warm glow that makes everything look more beautiful. That’s why I was thrilled when my clients, and lovely friend Brooke asked me to photograph their engagement session at Harlinsdale Park in Franklin, Tennessee, an I convinced them to do sunrise.
Harlinsdale Park is a stunning location for a photoshoot. With its sprawling fields, rustic barns, and picturesque landscapes, it’s easy to see why so many people choose this location for their special events. But there’s something about the way the park looks at sunrise that makes it truly unique. As we arrived well before the sun rose, we had the park almost entirely to ourselves. It was peaceful and serene, with the only sounds coming from the rustling leaves and the distant chirping of birds.
As the sun slowly began to rise, we started taking photos. The warm, golden light bathed the entire park in a beautiful glow that made the colors pop and brought out the natural beauty of the location. The couple looked stunning as they posed together, with the soft light highlighting their features and creating a romantic, dreamlike atmosphere. We moved around the park, taking advantage of the different backgrounds and scenery to create a diverse range of shots.
One of my favorite moments of the session was when the sun peeked over the horizon, creating a beautiful sunrise that made the sky look like a watercolor painting. We quickly snapped some shots of the couple in front of the sunrise, and the result was breathtaking. It was a moment that perfectly encapsulated the beauty and romance of a sunrise engagement session.
Overall, the entire session was an absolute pleasure to shoot. The Jordan & Brooke are so in love and comfortable with each other, which made capturing their emotions and personalities easy. The setting was idyllic, and the early morning light made everything look even more beautiful. I couldn’t have asked for a better way to start my day, and I’m grateful to have been a part of this special moment in the couple’s lives.
