We decided to do the photoshoot in the comfort of their own home, in Elling’s nursery. The space was decorated with a beautiful neutral color scheme and a few rainbows here and there, adding a pop of color to the room. It was the perfect backdrop for our photoshoot.
As soon as I arrived, I was greeted with warm hugs and smiles from John and Jessica. They were thrilled to introduce me to their new baby, and I could see the joy and love in their eyes as they held Elling close.
Elling was a natural in front of the camera. As I captured her tiny details, like her little toes and fingers, I could see the pride on her parents’ faces. We used natural light to create a warm and cozy atmosphere in the room, and it was amazing to see how the light brought out Elling’s features.
We also took some family photos, and it was beautiful to see John and Jessica as parents. They were so gentle and loving towards Elling, and you could see the connection they already had with their little one.
As the session came to an end, I couldn’t help but feel grateful for being a part of such a special moment. I had seen John and Jessica’s love story evolve from their engagement to their wedding, and now, their family was growing with the arrival of Elling. It was an honor to capture this new chapter in their lives and to see their love grow even more.
In the end, we created a collection of timeless and beautiful photos that John and Jessica will cherish for a lifetime. And for me, it was another reminder of why I love what I do as a photographer – to capture memories that will last a lifetime.
