On May 9th, the gardens of the historic Alexander Homestead in Charlotte, North Carolina, transformed into a picturesque backdrop for a wedding that was as timeless as it was heartfelt. Tyler and Shelby, a couple whose journey I’ve had the privilege to document over the years, celebrated their union surrounded by friends, family, and an air of genuine joy.

Having known Tyler and Shelby for years, it was an honor to witness their relationship evolve into the beautiful bond it is today. From capturing their family moments to now photographing their wedding, this day felt like the culmination of a journey filled with love and laughter. The anticipation had been building for so long, and to finally see them tie the knot was truly magical.

Alexander Homestead provided an idyllic setting for Tyler and Shelby’s special day. The venue’s lush gardens, brimming with vibrant blooms and stately trees, created a serene atmosphere that perfectly complemented the couple’s style. The sunlit garden radiated warmth, making every moment feel both intimate and grand.

The ceremony took place in the heart of the gardens, where a charming gazebo with pastel flowers was so pretty. One of the day’s most unforgettable moments was when their beloved dog trotted down the aisle, a delightful sight that brought laughter and a touch of sweetness to the ceremony. Decked out in a tiny flower collar, he captured everyone’s hearts, symbolizing the family love that Tyler and Shelby cherish deeply.

Shelby’s bridesmaids added a splash of elegance to the occasion, donning dresses in varying shades of pink that perfectly complemented the garden’s floral palette. The groomsmen, dressed in crisp navy suits, exuded a timeless sophistication. Their attire was the perfect contrast to the bridesmaids’ softer hues, adding a balanced and polished touch to the wedding ensemble. Together, the wedding party looked effortlessly chic, setting a tone of classic elegance for the day.

Tyler and Shelby’s wedding at Alexander Homestead was a beautiful celebration of love, family, and the ties that bind.
