As our five-year anniversary approached, I found myself looking back at our wedding day with fondness and nostalgia. I realized that I had never shared our wedding photos on my blog and decided it was time to rectify that in honor of our anniversary. I couldn’t wait to relive those precious moments and share them with the world.
The day itself was magical from start to finish. I remember the nerves and excitement as I got ready, knowing that I would soon be marrying my best friend. And when I finally saw Chris for the first time, everything around me when silent. It was a moment I will never forget.
As I walked down the aisle with my grandpa, I was overwhelmed by emotion. He whispered the sweetest words of encouragement and love, which gave me all the feels. And when I finally reached Chris, I knew in that moment this was the start of the rest of life together.
Our wedding took place at the beautiful Riverwood Mansion in Nashville, Tennessee. It was a little overcast, but we were blessed with no rain until the reception, which was held indoors. Despite the weather, everything was perfect. We had our favorite people in the same room, celebrating our love and commitment to one another.
One of the highlights of the day was our first dance. We chose Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud,” a song that still holds a special place in our hearts. It was a moment of pure joy and happiness as we swayed together on the dance floor. I will say, a little piece of advice. Don’t pick a 4 minute song, and if you do, as much as you love it. Cut it short. It is a lot different, dancing infront of 200 people vs. your living room with Saga & Palmer.
The dance party that followed was unforgettable. We laughed, danced, and celebrated with our loved ones, creating memories that we will cherish for a lifetime. And when the night came to a close, we headed to Clydes on Church for our after-party, surrounded by the people we love most in the world.
Sharing these photos on my blog is a way to commemorate our anniversary and relive those precious moments. I hope they bring a smile to your face and remind you of the beauty of love and commitment. Here’s to many more happy years together.
