Maternity photoshoots are always special, and when you get to photograph a couple you have worked with before, it becomes even more meaningful. Recently, I had the privilege of photographing John and Emilee, who are expecting their first child, Mathias. We chose to do the photoshoot at Percy Priest Lake in Nashville, which provided the perfect backdrop for their photos.

As we arrived at the location, John and Emilee were beaming with excitement, and it was evident that they couldn’t wait to meet their little bundle of joy. The location we chose had a beautiful lake with greenery surrounding it, making it the perfect place for a peaceful and serene photoshoot. We started by capturing some candid shots of John and Emilee walking hand in hand by the lake. They were comfortable in front of the camera and made each other laugh, which made my job easier.

We then moved on to some more posed shots, where Emilee wore a beautiful pink flowy dress that complemented her baby bump. John was dressed in a casual shirt and jeans, which gave a relaxed and laid-back vibe to the photoshoot. As we moved around the location, we captured some beautiful shots of them standing by the lake, Emilee sitting on a rock, and John holding her close.

But the most exciting part of the photoshoot was when we included Remy. Remy is their fur baby, who has been a part of their family for a while now. He was excited to be part of the photoshoot and was eager to pose with John and Emilee. We got some great shots of the couple playing with Remy, and he even gave them a few licks on their faces, which made for some adorable moments.

The photoshoot was a great success, and we captured some beautiful memories for John and Emilee to cherish for a lifetime. As they embark on this new journey of parenthood, I am excited to see what the future holds for them and their little one, Mathias. It was an honor to be a part of their journey and capture these special moments for them.
