If you aren’t familiar with 12 South, it is one of the cutest neighborhoods in the greater Nashville area & is perfect for an engagement session. Not only are there so many fun stores & restaurants, Sevier Park is right at the end of 12 avenue & make for a perfect location to start their session.

Andrew & Laura made their session an absolute breeze. Andrew & Laura are super friendly & so easy to talk to.. AND they are from North Carolina. Seriously what a small world?! These two live in Nashville (In our neighborhood) & are getting married in Nashville next summer. Due to COVID they postponed their wedding & were supposed to be getting married this weekend. So we took advantage of their date & waited to do their engagement session. Not only was it fun celebrating them in this way, it is so great to have images to commemorate the place where they have started their life together, after moving from North Carolina.

We started on a lovely Saturday evening at sunset in Sevier Park. It may have been the best weather possible. Nashville has been so hot lately & Saturday was so enjoyable at 60-70s.  Making for a perfect 12 South Engagement session. It was a little crowded in both the park & 12 South but it was totally worth it. We wandered around in the Park & then headed up the street to all the hustle & bustle of 12 south. There are so many pretty walls & little nooks that make for such great photos. Did I mention that they also brought their sweet pup Roxy. She was an absolute gem.

These two kept me laughing and chatting this entire session – Andrew & Laura are so comfortable  together. As I looked through their images, there were so many laughing shots. So many sweet moments where they held each other tight. Some of the greatest joys of our own marriage have come from that realization that you found the one who lets you just be yourself. Who will laugh with you no matter what.

It was so much fun photographing Andrew & Laura for their 12 South Engagement session & I cannot wait until their wedding next summer.
