If you have not been to Cheekwood Estate & Gardens in Nashville it is a must see & a perfect location for an engagement session. The are so many areas that are full of flowers & greenery, as well as the historic balcony that is famously photographed for so many occasions. Ben & Treeah met me in the early morning for their session and in typical august fashion it was hot. We made the most of it and I had the best time getting to know them. They love to travel and cannot wait to get back out there to explore more of the world.
Ben & Treeah also have the most adorable fur baby. Penny couldn’t be apart of our Cheekwood engagement session due to their restrictions. But we did a little bonus session at Ravenwood Mansion with Penny that will be scattered throughout this blog post as well!
If you decide you want to have your dog apart of your session I like to have you start in your casual outfit that way toward the end we can do some fun photos like this with them & you won’t have to worry about getting muddy paws on your clothes! Sometime this brings out so much character from your dog.We can always make a session with your dog happen. One of the most frequently asked questions for engagement sessions is “Can we bring our dog?” It is best if you have someone come along at the beginning of your session. This person can be there to take your pet following the portion of your engagement session with them. For example: your best friend, parent or sibling that is comfortable watching your dog. This will keep you from being distracted the rest of your session.
If you want to see another session with more than one dog check out Brandon & Alexis post here! Also, if you don’t know what to wear for you session my outfit guide is so helpful with engagement sessions you can sign up for it in at the bottom of this page! I will be making one for families soon.
