In Home family sessions have become one of my favorite things over the past year. As a result of Covid, I have photograph a TON of babies, which I love. In home session give you the flexibility with young children & babies to keep them comfortable & smiley, while at the same time wanting to keep them still to photograph! The endless battle… This time it was for one of the families I photograph the most (which I LOVE) the Kerns.
If you follow any of my work, website, Instagram, Facebook… you most likely have seen this couple & now family of three! Josh is so funny and who I have known for years & Katti is so gorgeous, & probably the most kind person I have ever met. Also her hair is AMAZING, so so pretty. Then there is Blythe Hazel, oh my gosh. I hadn’t seen her since our newborn session, she is full of personality, completely adorable it will melt you heart. Also, she just started taking steps & she walked to me, so I take that as a win! Lastly, I cannot forget about Olsen, named after the one and only former Panther Greg Olsen. He is the best with little Blythe. I love this family & love photographing them as their family grows.
One of the best things about photographing families is getting to know them & their stories over the years. Also getting to document them so those memories last forever. Katti’s dad went to meet Jesus shortly after Blythe was born. Katti cut a dress out of one of her dads shirts for us to photograph Blythe in & it could not have turned out better. He is wearing that shirt in the photograph of him holding Blythe when she was first born. Wow! These are the moments that leave me speechless.
