I loved photographing these surprise proposal pictures on Topsail Beach for Matt & Chelsey. Matt did an amazing job putting together a sweet surprise for his fiancé! He coordinated to propose on the beach where their families spend a lot of time, which made it extra special! Following a photoshoot with the Dodson Family. With all of their family watching from a distance, I had Matt & Chelsey walk down the beach & then Matt got down on one knee & ask Chelsey to spend forever with him. It was incredible & so exciting!

Matt & Chelsey are a dating app success story. They met on Hinge & connected immediately on their love for football. They would disagree on which team is better the Cowboys or Steelers. But the rivalry is what started it all for these two. Matt took Chelsey on their first date to Essex in Charlotte & the rest is history!!

My favorite thing about photographing proposals is that we also get to take a few engagement photos! After the surprise proposal, we take pictures a couple photos that can be used to announce your engagement & get you excited for an engagement session once you start planning your big day. This is always a fun way to celebrate together and to capture the pure joy! In Matt & Chelsey’s case we were also about to take family pictures, since they were all part of the surprise!

It was such an honor getting to photograph this Topsail Island proposal for Matt & Chelsey & I cannot wait to watch them grow together. I asked them both what they are looking forward to the most about marriage. Matt said he is looking looking forward to buying a house together and doing some traveling before they start a family. Chelsey was excited about all the next experiences they will share together with Matt, having someone that supports you unconditionally & watching the Steelers & Cowboys play (which will be a wildddd time in their house).

 

It was such an honor photographing this special moment in Matt & Chelseys lives & I look forward to the future with these two. Their Topsail Island Proposal was an absolute dream & it was so special having their family there to celebrate as well.
